Kia och Hyundai ska ta fram elbilsplattform med Canoo

I september förra året skrev vi om elbilsstartupen Canoo som tagit fram en rätt kul designad minibuss. Även Kia och Hyundai la märke till detta och nu ska de tillsammans ta fram en elbilsplattform grundad i den som Canoo har skapat. Canoo ska bistå med ingenjörsskapet och hjälpa koreanerna att ta fram det som de vill ha. Genom detta samarbete kan kostnaderna hållas nere vilket i slutändan kanske syns på vad de kommande elbilarna har för prislapp.Albert Biermann som är head of research and development på Hyundai Motor Group säger följande:"We were highly impressed by the speed and efficiency in which Canoo developed their innovative EV architecture, making them the perfect engineering partner for us as we transition to become a frontrunner in the future mobility industry. We will collaborate with Canoo engineers to develop a cost-effective Hyundai platform concept that is autonomous ready and suitable for mass adoption."
