VW-chefen: självkörande bilar är vardag 2030

Det är inte alla som tror att det här med helt självkörande bilar är långt bort ändå, trots att tekniken idag säger lite annorlunda. Volkswagen är övertygade om att vi bara inom några år kommer att se dessa bilar som vardagliga ting. Vdn Thomas Schäfer säger att vi i slutet på det här årtiondet kan förvänta oss att självkörande Volkswagen-modeller kommer vara verklighet i trafiken på en global skala. Så här säger han i ett uttalande:"The technology is available and we are driving in Hamburg and Munich autonomously. The cost of the car is still prohibitive because so little of it gets manufactured. And there’s always the need to prove that the system drives better than a human. The legislation for it is enormous. It’s totally different from country to country. The legislation, the camera systems, the chips, the energy consumption, and the speed of calculation.
