Tim Cook slutar som VD för Apple

Apple meddelade idag att Tim Cook lämnar som VD efter 15 år på posten. Han kommer att ersättas av John Ternus som arbetat för Apple sedan 2001 och som de fem senaste åren har varit chef för Apples hårdvara. Cook kommer att kliva av som VD den 1 september och kommer därefter att bli styrelseordförande för Apple. I en pressrelease säger Cook själv:"It has been the greatest privilege of my life to be the CEO of Apple and to have been trusted to lead such an extraordinary company. I love Apple with all of my being, and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with a team of such ingenious, innovative, creative, and deeply caring people who have been unwavering in their dedication to enriching the lives of our customers and creating the best products and services in the world."I samband med VD-bytet kommer Ternus även att ta plats i Apples styrelse och Arthur Levinson, som varit Apples styrelseordförande i 15 år, kommer att bli vice styrelseordförande ("lead independent director").
