Dotterbolag till Northvolt ansöker om konkurs

Det krisdrabbade batteriföretaget Northvolt skriver i ett pressmeddelande att deras dotterbolag Northvolt Ett Expansion AB nu ansöker om konkurs. Dotterbolagets verksamhet var primärt att bygga ut Northvolts anläggning i Skellefteå, ett arbete som pausades i samband med att Northvolt förra månaden varslade 1600 anställda om uppsägning. Enligt en genomgång som DN har gjort hade Northvolt Ett Expansion skulder hos Kronofogden som uppgick till 26 miljoner kronor förra veckan. Northvolt skriver i pressmeddelandet om konkursansökan för Northvolt Ett Expansion:"Ett Expansion AB is one of over 20 different entities within the Northvolt Group and the application for bankruptcy does not relate to any of the other legal entities in the wider Northvolt Group. Looking forward, the Northvolt Group is concentrating its resources towards accelerating production in large-scale cell manufacturing within the fully-built, first phase of Northvolt Ett and delivering on commitments to its automotive customers."
