Niantic ryktas skjuta upp Harry Potter-spel till 2019

I november förra året meddelade Pokémon Go-skaparna Niantic att de jobbar på ett nytt AR-spel som baseras på Harry Potter. Då sades det att Harry Potter: Wizards Unite skulle släppas någon gång 2018, men det ser aningen brunt ut på den fronten. Eurogamer har tagit ett snack med Niantic-chefen John Hanke om situationen varpå Hanke svarade med att spelet släpps när det är färdigt och att det kan dröja fram till nästa år innan release. Mer specifikt sades detta:
"We want to release it when the game's ready. We want to avoid a death march where the game releases on a specific date no matter what.
So we'll be trying to leave some room there. We'll do some testing at the end and depending on how people enjoy the game and if we find bugs or problems, we'll give ourselves a window to do that before final release."
