Tjänster som distribuerar ROM:s till emulatorer
Emulatorer kan vara bra att ha när man vill spela gamla spel som inte längre finns på marknaden men speltillverkarna brukar oftast inte ha så mycket till övers för detta.Nintendo uppges vara en av de speltillverkare som verkligen ogillar tjänster som distribuerar ROM:s till emulatorer och i veckan stämde Nintendo de två ROM-tjänsterna LoveROMS.com och LoveRETRO.co rapporterar TorrentFreak. I sin stämning skriver Nintendo bland annat:
"The LoveROMs and LoveRETRO websites are among the most open and notorious online hubs for pirated video games,” Nintendo writes in the complaint.
Through the LoveROMs and LoveRETRO websites, Defendants reproduce, distribute, publicly perform and display a staggering number of unauthorized copies of Nintendo’s video games, all without Nintendo’s permission."
Nintendos stämning verkar ha tagit skruv hos det amerikanska företag som uppges driva de båda ROM-tjänsterna. På LoveRoms.com har nu alla Nintendos titlar försvunnit och LoveRetro.co lade ner hela sin tjänst idag.
